My golf equipment

I took up golf a few years ago, and I will admit that I am far from the best player in the world. I have however spent a great deal of time making sure that I have the right equipment. This has really helped me to enjoy the game more even if I am still not a great golfer. The equipment that I use is the same that most other golfers of my skill level use.

The most important of my golf equipment are my clubs; I spent a great deal of time and money to make sure that I got the clubs that were best for my needs. I am not really one of those golfers who needs the latest and the greatest when it comes to clubs but I do make sure that I have clubs that I am comfortable swinging. I also don't carry a lot of clubs in my bag; I stick to a fairly basic set of nine clubs. This is all that I really need so I haven't really found a reason to get more.

When I was getting my clubs I made sure to have a professional help me to get the right ones. We discussed my game and my experience level and decided that I was still at the point where steel clubs were the best choice for me. The more expensive ones made out of exotic materials are really designed for better golfers than me. The other big thing that we did when I was getting my clubs was to make sure that fit me just right. This is where I was really glad that I had a professional to help me.

Obviously in addition to golf clubs I needed to get a golf bag. When I first started playing I used a fairly cheap bag that rally only served to carry my clubs. This worked but it was not the most comfortable way to play a round of golf. I have since invested in a better quality bag that has a lot more room for carrying stuff and which I find to be a lot easier to carry around the course. This was one of the best investments that I made for my golf game.

The balls that I use when I am playing are fairly inexpensive. While I am sure that the more expensive balls will fly better I still find that I lose balls on a regular basis. This adds up to be a not insignificant expense as it is so playing with more expensive balls is not really something that I am ready to do. The balls that I play with can be bought for about twelve dollars a dozen which is a reasonable amount to pay given that I can expect to lose about three or four balls each round that I play.
