My Golf Equipment

I took up golf a few years ago, and I will admit that I am far from the best player in the world. I have however spent a great deal of time making sure that I have the right equipment. This has really helped me to enjoy the game more even if I am still not a great golfer. The equipment that I use is the same that most other golfers of my skill level use.

Now obviously I haven't played every course in the state so I am sure that there are some excellent ones that are not on my list. Golf is the greatest game in the world, this is why there are millions of people who play the game. There are lots of reasons that people love golf and they are probably different depending on who you ask. These are my reasons for loving golf, yours of course may be completely different.

The main reason that I love golf is that there is always as chance to get better. This is not true with a lot of sports but with golf every time that you go out to play a round you will learn something and you will become a better player. This is really the challenge of golf to constantly keep improving. I think that this why most people continue to play the game, nobody will ever completely master it. Even the best players in the world have room to improve.

One of the other reasons that I really like golf is that you can play with almost anybody. In most sports unless the person that you are playing with has a skill level that is similar to yours it is not going to be any fun. Clearly this is a problem since it limits who you can play with. Golf on the other hand is a game that allows you to play with people who are a lot better than you or not as skilled as you and still have a good time.

Of course you don't have to play with anybody if you don't want to and that is another great benefit of the game. Most sports require that you have somebody to play with, many require whole teams. This makes arranging a game a challenge, fortunately it isn't an issue when you want to play golf. If you want to go out and play by yourself that is perfectly fine. In fact I enjoy playing alone from time to time, I find that I can work on my game better that way.

Golf is also great because I know that I can continue to play it as I get older. I regularly see senior citizens out playing a round of golf, rest assured that you wouldn't see this with most other sports. One of the great attractions for me is knowing that I am not going to have to give up the game as I get older.

The last thing that I love about golf is the people that you meet. Golf is one of the most social sports that there is, there is a lot of time to talk when you play eighteen holes. The people that you meet can become friends for life. I have friends who I really only know through golf, we get together to play every now and then and this is really our only interaction. Other people that I have met playing golf have become close friends.
